Trevor Noah’s Tweets Come Back To Haunt Him

Comedy Central went out of their way to find a foreign black replacement for the departing Jon Stewart, Trevor Noah, who seems to piss off a lot of other black people, Jews, and women.

Frequent Bill Maher “Real Time” guest and GOP strategist David Frum summed it up perfectly:

Noah2 noah3 noah4 Humor, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder, and the laconic Trevor Noah is no staccato Don Rickles or Joan Rivers. His delivery is matter of fact and meant to be ironic, but falls flat with some who view his remarks as bigoted.  Why Comedy Central went to a foreign entity versus someone who has a track record on TV, like M&C favorite and former FX series star W. Kamau Bell or some other American grown comic, is a mystery too.

But that they did, as Comedy Central announced Monday that the 31-year-old South African comedian would be replacing Jon Stewart on the long-running series. He had only three segments on the show since he was signed on as a contributor back in December.

It was Noah’s archived Twitter feed that revealed the sentiments everyone is talking about.

“A hot white woman with a** is like a unicorn. Even if you do see one, you’ll probably never get to ride it,” one deleted tweet read from November 2011.
