Tracy Morgan returns to work today after collapsing from ‘exhaustion and high altitude’ at the Sundance Film Festival.
“Back at work 2morrow shooting 30 Rock. Holla at me!” Morgan tweeted on Monday.
The 30 Rock star was being honoured with an award at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards in Park City, Utah.
Morgan fell unconscious shortly after giving his acceptance speech. An ambulance was called and Morgan was taken to a Park City hospital in Utah.
Morgan’s publicist, Lewis Kay, released a statement dismissing the rumours that he was intoxicated at the ceremony.
“From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention.”
“He is with his fiance and grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care. Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100% false,” she added.
Sources told the NYDailyNews that 43-year-old Morgan “didn’t have one lick of alcohol.”
An insider said Morgan seemed “a little out of it” but “sick, not drunk.”
Another source explained they had had to pull out a stool for him to sit on. “Because of the altitude and his diabetes, they said he had a fever.”
Morgan explained his collapse on Twitter. “Superman ran into a little kryptonite. The high altitude in Utah shook up this kids from Brooklyn.”
“Gotta thank the AMAZING medical staff and all my supporters! Love you,” Morgan tweeted.
Morgan stars in the film Predisposed which is screening at the Sundance Film Festival.
