The Little Stranger is ‘haunting’

“The Little Stranger” by Sarah Waters has been noted as “haunting” by USA Today. The reviewer notes: “Prepare for serious chills on the beach with Sarah Waters’ smart ghost story.”

Booklist has a similar remark: “An eerie ghost story mixed with piercing class commentary, Waters’ latest is downright haunting.”

PW states: “Supernatural trouble kicks in after Caroline’s mild-mannered black Lab, Gyp, attacks a visiting child. A damaging fire, a suicide and worse follow. Faraday, one of literature’s more unreliable narrators, carries the reader swiftly along to the devastating conclusion.”

Published by Riverhead, the novel finishes at 480 pages. Read a little more at USA Today.
