The Ataris hit the road in supper of ‘Welcome the Night’ with Wax on Radio

The Ataris hit the road this month on a headline tour in support of ‘Welcome the Night,’ their first album released on Sanctuary/Isolf Records in stores February 20th.

The Ataris’ last CD, ‘So Long Astoria,’ sold over 1 million copies worldwide and spawned two top-ten hit singles. The band’s captivating first single, “Not Capable of Love” is getting lots of attention from radio and the video has recently been added to FUSE.

This new release takes the band back to basics, with lyrics and passionate vocals reminding the listeners why The Artaris have built a steady fan following since coming into the scene in 1997.

The tour will kick off next week Tuesday, February 20th in Philadelphia and extend for the next few months. Asobi Seksu is the main support on the first half of the tour through March 11th, as Wax On Radio will be the opening act for the entire tour.

The virtuosic, heavy and experimental Wax On Radio strikes a balance between atmospheric expression and powerful hooks. ‘Exposition,’ their latest release is the sound of a band that is absolutely fearless and engaging as they are proficient.
