20-time zoom in new Pentax camera
Berlin (dpa) - The new Optio VS20 compact camera will include among other features a 20-time optical zoom. The camera has a second shutter with its own zoom rocker on the side for comfortable on-end recordings as well as two separate screw threads for tripods. The 16-megapixel camera records videos with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels (720p) and shaky recordings will be automatically corrected during the recording. The Optio VS20 should be available in shops starting in March for about 199 euros (260 dollars).
All-in-one PC from Asus has 27-inch screen diagonal
Berlin (dpa) - Asus is bringing a new all-in-one PC to the market with a 27-inch screen diagonal. And the technology in the display is impressive as the ET2700INKS-B005C has an i5-2400s Intel core processor, an Nvidia Geforce GT 540M graphics card and a 2-terabyte hard drive. The PC also includes two USB 3.0 ports, a tuner for DVB-T television and a Blu-ray drive. Asus also builds in an external subwoofer for 1,399 euros. The PCs are to be available in February.
Network player with Airplay and digital radio
Berlin (dpa) - The T-4070 network player from Onkyo can stream music through DLNA as well as Apple's Airplay standard. The device can also access various internet services such as Spotify or Last.fm with a WiFi adapter, while a digital radio with DAB+ provides more possibilities for music lovers. A remote app for iOS and Android devices replaces the control. The player will be available for about 799 euros starting in March.
New DVD and Bluetooth car radios from Kenwood
Berlin (dpa) - A new Bluetooth CD car radio from Kenwood can connect two mobile phones at the same time with the KDC-BT42U having a built-in microphone for hands-free speaking. Music can also be accessed and played from the smartphone via Bluetooth. The KDC-BT42U costs 139 euros, while the KDC-BT32U costs 10 euros less as it doesn't include iPod control or a connection for a separate hands-free microphone.
Falk Navigator app for iOS and Android
Berlin (dpa) - The new Falk Navigator 3.0 app is available for both the iPhone and Android phones. The smartphone system supports offline navigation as maps can be saved directly onto the phone. The Falk Navigator Plus is available for the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region for 20 euros, or all of Europe for 35 euros, and can be modularly upgraded - for example, for 3D views or up-to-minute traffic information. The enhancements cost 8-9 euros.
