The sad thing is that we the viewers lose out in this. The other day I went to buy a couple of Office episodes I had missed from iTunes and discovered they are not available. I tried the NBC website but the whole experience was glitchy, stuttery and ultimately unwatchable. So instead of letting me pay 4 bucks to watch two episodes on my TV, I got a free jumpy video I could only watch on the computer. Nice work NBC.
After learning of this moronic decision by NBC execs I dumped my stock in both NBC and GE. I found a better place for my portfolio - APPLE! Go Apple. Apple may have some expensive devices you morons, but those prices are suitable for the reliability and quality of those items. I've dropped my iPod a dozen times.....even drop-kicked it once (by accident, trying to catch it) and it doesn't have a dent or scratch and never skipped a beat! For the kind of quality and dependability I get from Apple's products, I don't mind paying a little more. And I think some of you are forgetting that the drives in those things are fairly huge for such a small device. Duhr.
Apple did good. NBC is taking a huge hit in both losses from the sale of their content through iTunes, and through additional losses to their market value overall. I think some NBC execs need to be considered for demotion.
