Boooooooo Microsoft!!
We don't want your stupid OS.
Well, you know Vista was such a milestone, why not just change all the color schemes and call it a new OS? I mean if Vista was a breakthrough, then new colors should be a revolution.
Vista was a milestone, but only for microsoft.
Vista is having only good graphics noyhing more..........
It's useless..........
Iiit doesn't run simple c software.>>>>.
I want the latest and greatest that makes the most of all my resources in my computer.
Dont you just want the desk that they have in 'The Island' or a computer like in 'Minority Report'.
We are nearing the future guys, stop complaining, if you hate the fresh GUI so much go get debain it does everything if you are clever enough.
90% of the people who call windows stupid and show that they hate it are actully using and do not have technical ability to use the otehr one , linux is good but it need brains , Mac is good but it needs $$ so something which is cheep , easy to use and used by millions of people should be be hated
The Linux open source development model seems a much surer bet for developing sophisticated systems like Operating Systems. Check out the Youtube discussions by Linus on how that process all works. Much more attractive than the workings revealed by ex-Microsofties in their blogs ..
Vinod, your Kung Fu is strong
wah so many cry babies.
oh yes, linux has NO chance of ever being mainstream. that is a fact and the inability to accept its only strengths lie in low-cost and highly specialized sectors are also its biggest weaknesses and can not be avoided. tough.
Re: 'The Linux open source development model seems a much surer bet for developing sophisticated systems like Operating Systems. Check out the Youtube discussions by Linus on how that process all works'
So, a process that has resulted in only around 2% market penetration of desktops, a plethora of incompatible distros, no agreed or common standard for distribution/installation of applications which have to be separately compiled for various distros, and a pre-requisite to inhabit the world of geeks to be able to make any proper use of it, is a process that 'works'. Just exactly which planet do the linux community live on ?
People don't want a huge-slow operating system.. move over microsoft.
Linux is just an operating system, not a revolution. The mere strength that Linux enjoys lie on its being low cost or either. Software is an intellectual property, like your computer's microprocessor, and should be
paid for. While nothing in this materialistic world is free - then why 'free softwares'.
If you are a programmer then you should protest the urge for 'Free Softwares'.
