Kruger just wants some attentions. Stupid stand play period. iPod doesn't kill people, Car does.
Oh, maybe he simply never used iPod before and no clue what he is talking about.
This is one of the examples of our lawmakers blunt intelligence.I can't believe how could they want to control our lives. They need to to control their stupid ideas first.
I can understand bans on cigarettes and trans fat, which have horrible consequences even if used correctly. But do so many people have to suffer just because some idiots can't multitask? Suuuure, that's a wonderful idea. Pass THAT law. Huh? You want a law providing adequate healthcare? You want something that makes sure you're paid a living wage? Psh, like anyone wants that. Everyone knows people love it when they have sources of pleasure taken away from them. *eyeroll*
Lola Williams asked why we do not get rid of guns first? Why do you want to get rid of guns? Are you seriously spacey enough to think that will solve any problems? Let me ask you, all of you, a question.
It is 1 in the morning, you hear a noise and go to investigate. As you enter your homes dark hall you see the silhouette of a man, a large man, enter your 5-year-old daughter's bedroom. What do you do? Call the police? Do you really think they will get there in time? Go after him yourself? If guns are outlawed you don't have one. He might. But if you know he does not then you get a knife, what if he has a bigger knife or knows how to use one in this instance more effectively than you do? What do you do? Now you wish you had that gun don't you.
Did you know guns save thousands of lives every year? They do. Do they kill innocent others? Yes, but so do knives and cars. Will you outlaw them too?
Perhaps we should add a provision to this proposal which prevents DEAF people from walking on city streets, since they essentially are as aware of their surroundings (ie: city traffic) as the average iPod user is. That makes about as much sense.
How about banning farting in public. Smokers are being looked upon as social demons and it certainly doesnt smell as bad as what people emit from their backsides. How about a $1000 fine for making people lose their lunch.
There should be a ban on low-cut apparel that shows cleavage and short skirts ... In particular for attractive women ... a class of hand-held devices that are far more distracting than Blackberries on public streets. Perhaps the Feds should do a study on who should be allowed to wear what, when and where ...
Senator Kruger can go straight to hell. I don't know who this clown things he is. It is simply unimaginable that this Nazi was elected to a public office in the United States of America. Haven't we all had enough government intrusion in our lives?? Even more ridiculous is the fact that he is paid to spout off these insane views. He should be impeached immediately or at least have the dignity to resign!
Has Sen.Kruger forgotten he is a representative ALL the people? All the people, not just the few who don't choose to use their own common sense. If Sen. Kruger is seeking fame, there other much more important issues at hand that he could be addressing. We already have laws to protect pedestrians crossing city streets - enforce the existing laws.
Hey, Joe
There IS a ban on farting in public in NYC. That's why you can't find a decent restaurant that sells fatback and collard greens. The problem is, there simply aren't enough street cops to enforce these bans. I would suggest that the next time you observe someone farting in public, you get a general description of the perpetrator, call your local precinct, and report the violation. Be sure to give your name....
2 people died while using iPods?
How many people died NOT using an iPod?
Good point Rob. My iPod saved my life once. I was listing to my Nano and when I came up to a busy intersection, It was 'Stop! Hammer Time!' So naturally I stopped, just before I walked into a speeding bus. If I didn't have 8GB of my all 90's mix I wouldn't be here typing. Thank you iPod!!!
