i thought the story was very informative, even though they are two countrys integrated to one , there are still differences. as should be like language, cuisine, history, culture, it's only natural . it will take more than thirty years to bring north and south together as one. but when it happens they will be the better for it.

Try terrorized into one. I really liked the part where the N. Vietnamese used to bury S.Viet politicians alive, when they moved into an area...

Or my favorite, the ethnic cleansing of the Montagnards i.e. killins, forced marriages to Asians, etc.

I was lieutenant of Saigon regime. After American abandoned THE SOUTH-VN, the North VN invaded the South. They confisticated all our belongings : gold, houses, US dollars, lands. they sent us to remote area : 'new economical region'. Military officer were sent to re-edu.camp, some were food for wild beast, some died of sickness particularly malaria. Our relatives escaped for freedom, some was food for fish, some was rapped by viking. That's why we hated the North. they are always proud of their victory, they placed their relative in high positions with a lot of benefits. Now they are billionaire. The South become poor.

im doubt the kid in that interview ever knows anything about the south an north war or any other things more than that she got bored and spoke up her stupid point of view, there're tons of dumb kids like that everywhere why bother? this kind of matter is far from new

My grandfathers have too leaved their home from North because VC (Bac Viet)try to take away their land and may kill them who is own alot of land, high education and not do what VC ask to do 1950.

Again, 1954 my grandparents and my parents have too move from Ha Tinh to Da Nang because this country have too seprate between North and South at Ben Hai.

1975 We run away from Da Nang to Vung Tau with a hope that they (VC) stop between Nha Trang or Phan Thiet. In April 30,1977 we have no where else to go so we back to Da Nang my house was block and North sodiers lived in the home while we have too stayed in a boat for a month, when they return house there not thing in the house.

May 1977, I and my brother's family took my parents 45 foot boat with 24 persons escaped to Hong Kong. In Hong Kong people between North and South fighting every day some get kill by North while sleeping.

As a legal refugee to the United states over thirty years and lived very close to vietnamese community I found that North's people and South not easy to get along together because North's too selfish.

If you wear my shoes, can you image how will you feel.

this is a true and purify informative. she, is a next generation and has a truly view opinion.

that why the north (mr. vo khoan, vietnamese officer)must take these opinions to start a new fresh viet nam for 21 century and please do not put yourself (cai toi) at the top that is a gimmick.

she should not apologized at all because of her own truly opinions. thanks for open minds and good observations to bring all the differences of vietnameses to the good one, true and practical life.
