Strictly Come Dancing Goes from BBC to ABC

ABC has bought rights to the popular BBC show "Strictly Come Dancing."</P><P>The US network plans to change the name but will stick to the original and team up eight celebrities with professional dancers.</P><P>A spokeswoman for ABC said it might seem like a hard pitch to Americans but that: "The show’s global success demonstrates how audiences around the world find it surprising and, undeniably, fun."</P><P>The show itself has already been sold to Italy and New Zealand with the corporation expected to make around £20 million over the next few years from the format.</P><P>A production team from the BBC will head stateside to set the show up.</P>Note the date on this article may be incorrect due to importing it from our old system.
