With reference to Zidane. No one n oticed or mentionned the fact (well documented on TV) that 10-15 minutes before this incident he (Zidane) suffered a rather painful right shoulder injury for which he was administered at least two sprays of local anesthetic (ethyl chloride?) some of which was definitely 'sniffed' judging from his facial expression. Could this have had caused a temporary state of alteration of judgement? This still does not justify the act but, at least would introduce the element of temporary mental incompetence, drug induced.
I am just wondering....
