Saint Etienne, France - France striker Djibril Cisse looks to be ruled out of the World Cup after appearing to break a leg in a final preparation match against China on Wednesday.
The Liverpool marksman fell with a sickening impact and remained down for more than ten minutes as medical staff carefully carried him from the pitch after just 9 minutes played.
Chelsea defender William Gallas looked towards Domenech and the bench and said 'C'est mort!' or 'It's dead!' meaning Cisse's World Cup campaign was over before it had even begun.
Cisse, who is reported to be on the verge of joining Marseille from Liverpool, was almost guaranteed to be the second striker alongside Thierry Henry in Raymond Domenech's starting 11.
France open their campaign on June 13 against Switzerland in a group that includes South Korea and Togo.
