Detroit, MI - Deanna Nolan scored a game-high 24 points as the Detroit Shock bounced back to defeat the Indiana Fever, 77-63, in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals.
Katie Smith scored 14 points and Swin Cash added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the defending WNBA champion Shock, who rebounded from a 75-65 loss in Game 1 to force a deciding Game 3 on Monday at home.
Awaiting the winner is the Phoenix Mercury, who captured the Western Conference championship on Saturday.
Anna DeForge scored a team-high 13 points and Tamika Whitmore had 12 for the Fever, who are seeking their first trip to the WNBA Finals in franchise history.
Trailing 20-16 after the opening quarter, Detroit took control of the game with a 25-12 second quarter and took a 41-32 advantage into the locker room at halftime.
It was more of the same in the third quarter, as the Shock carried a 68-47 lead into the final period.
Indiana shot just 36.8 percent from the floor and were dominated on the boards. Detroit outrebounded the Fever, 44-22, and shot a healthy 46 percent from the field.
