Seattle, WA - Lauren Jackson had another huge game with 32 points and 15 rebounds as the Seattle Storm rallied in the second half to smoke the Los Angeles Sparks, 97-77, and clinch the fourth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Iziane Castro Marques contributed 24 points and Sue Bird added 14 points and eight assists for the Storm, who finished the season with a 17-17 record and will square off with the top-seeded Phoenix Mercury in the first round.
Sidney Spencer poured in a career-high 25 points, but it wasn't enough to save the Sparks. With the loss, Los Angeles (10-23) clinched the worst record in franchise history.
Thanks to a 23-11 margin in the second quarter, the Sparks took a surprising 41-37 lead into the locker room. However, the momentum was short-lived as Seattle outscored LA 60-36 in the second half en route to the victory.
