Detroit was led by rookie Ivory Latta's 15 points off the bench. Katie Feenstra and Plenette Pierson had 14 points each, and Deanna Nolan added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Shock, who rested Swin Cash and a number of their other players, having already clinched the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Minnesota used a 31-16 first quarter to establish an early lead, and held on from there despite a late Detroit surge. The last-place Lynx also shot 13- for-27 from three-point land, led by Abrosimova's five triples and Mann's 3- for-5 effort.
