Fever top Monarchs to reach playoffs

Indianapolis, IN - Tamika Whitmore scored 16 points off the bench as the Indiana Fever edged the Sacramento Monarchs, 63-55, at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Tan White added 14 points for the Fever, who have won two of three and clinched a playoff berth.
Yolanda Griffith posted 11 points and nine rebounds before fouling out for the Monarchs, who missed out on a chance to seal a spot in the playoffs.
Sacramento shot just 30 percent from the floor and committed 22 turnovers.
