Comets hold off Lynx

Minneapolis, MN - Tina Thompson netted a game-high 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Houston Comets past the Minnesota Lynx, 80-77, at Target Center.
Thompson scored 14 of her 26 points in the fourth quarter while Latasha Byears came off the bench to score 17 points for the Comets, who have won two straight after a pair of losses.
Houston shot 40 percent from the field for the contest and limited Minnesota to just 31.6 percent.
Seimone Augustus scored 24 points including a perfect 12-for-12 from the charity stripe for the Lynx, who have lost two straight. Nicole Ohlde donated 12 points in defeat.
