Jul 27, 2007, 2:10 GMT
Auburn Hills, MI - Candice Dupree scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Chicago Sky beat the Detroit Shock, 83-73, at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
To make matters worse for Detroit, the team announced during the third quarter that All-Star forward Cheryl Ford will miss the remainder of the regular season with a left knee femoral chondral defect suffered last Friday against Indiana.
Stacy Dales added 16 points and Jia Perkins 14 for the Sky, who have won three in a row since a five-game losing streak.
Ivory Latta registered 13 points and Katie Feenstra had 13 points and eight boards for the Shock, who had a seven-game winning streak snapped.
Chicago shot 50.8 percent while holding Detroit to 37.3 percent shooting from the field.
