Monarchs top Fever

Sacramento, CA - Rebekkah Brunson scored 17 points as Sacramento topped Indiana, 60-50, at Arco Arena.
Kristin Haynie added 10 points for the Monarchs, who moved within 1 1/2 games of the first-place San Antonio Silver Stars in the Western Conference. Ticha Penicheiro chipped in with eight points and six assists in the win.
Tan White netted 14 points for the slumping Fever, which has lost four straight. Tammy Sutton-Brown tallied had nine points while Anna DeForge and Tamika Whitmore each finished with seven.
Indiana is without star Tamika Catchings, who went down with a foot injury in an 89-80 loss to Detroit on July 20.
