Shock surge past Sun

Uncasville, CT - Deanna Nolan poured in a game-high 36 points to lead the Detroit Shock past the Connecticut Sun, 92-88, at Mohegan Sun Arena.
Nolan also dished out seven assists while Katie Feenstra added 19 points and nine rebounds for the surging Shock, who have won seven straight.
Detroit shot 50 percent from the field for the game and outscored Connecticut by 10 points in the third quarter to take control of the contest.
Lindsay Whalen netted 33 points and had seven assists for the Sun, who had a six-game winning streak snapped. Katie Douglas had 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the field in defeat.
