Smith, Shock down Mystics

Auburn Hills, MI - Katie Smith scored 13 points and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds as the Detroit Shock beat the Washington Mystics, 66-58, at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Deanna Nolan added 12 points and Plenette Pierson and Katie Feenstra added 10 apiece for the Shock, who have won six straight.
Alana Beard deposited 16 points and Nakia Sanford added 11 for the Mystics, who snapped a four-game winning streak.
The Shock held the Mystics to 13 points in the first half - the third-lowest total in league history - on 19 percent shooting.
Detroit played without All-Star game MVP Cheryl Ford who rested her sprained right knee.
