Mercury down Storm

Phoenix, AZ - Penny Taylor poured in 32 points and added seven rebounds as the Phoenix Mercury knocked off the Seattle Storm, 89-79, at US Airways Center.
Diana Taurasi had 18 points while Tangela Smith added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Mercury, who snapped a two-game losing streak.
Lauren Jackson posted 33 points and 11 rebounds while Betty Lennox donated 22 points and seven rebounds for the Storm, who have dropped three of four.
Leading 45-41 at the break, Phoenix outscored Seattle 28-16 in the third quarter and held on for the win.
