Comets beat Lynx

Minneapolis, MN - Tina Thompson led all scorers with 23 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the Houston Comets defeated the Minnesota Lynx, 79-67, at Target Center.
Thompson also dished out four assists and Tamecka Dixon chipped in with 12 points, while Michelle Snow added 11 for the Comets, who snapped a brief two- game losing skid.
Houston, which held a 45-37 halftime lead, will host the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night.
Seimone Augustus had a team-high 22 points for the Lynx, who have lost four in a row and five of their last seven games. Lindsey Harding contributed 16 points and Kristen Mann added 14. Minnesota will travel to Washington to play the Mystics on Tuesday.
Houston shot 47 percent from the field, while Minnesota made 41 percent of its shots.
