Douglas paces Sun over Sparks

Los Angeles, CA - Katie Douglas scored 28 points and Evanthia Maltsi added 23, as the two combined to go 10-for-12 from three point range, boosting Connecticut to a 110-89 win over the Los Angeles Sparks.
Asjha Jones had 21 points, Lindsay Whalen contributed 17 and eight assists, and Margo Dydek finished with 12 points and seven rebounds for the Sun, who shot a blistering 63.9 percent from the field and went 11-of-15 from beyond the arc to post their second win in three games.
Sidney Spencer had 15 points, while Sherill Baker and Christi Thomas each had 13 for the Sparks, who suffered their fifth consecutive defeat.
The Sun held a 35-15 advantage in the first quarter and never looked back, taking a 57-39 halftime lead.
