Liberty down Shock in OT

Detroit, MI - Janel McCarville had a season-high 18 points and career-best 12 rebounds to lead the New York Liberty to an 82-81 overtime win over the Detroit Shock at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Catherine Kraayeveld added 14 points and Loree Moore had 13 points and nine assists for New York, which has won two of its last three contests.
Cheryl Ford scored 22 points and had 18 rebounds for the Shock, who lost their third straight game. Deanna Nolan, who sent the game to overtime with a late three-pointer, added 21 points and eight assists and Katie Smith had 19 points.
McCarville scored four points in overtime before fouling out and Nolan missed a three-point attempt with three seconds to play as the Liberty hung on for the win.
