Storm blows through New York

Seattle, WA - Iziane Castro Marques posted 24 points as the Seattle Storm pummeled the New York Liberty, 84-53, at Key Arena.
Lauren Jackson scored 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Storm, who have won three of their last four games. Sue Bird added 11 points in the victory, while Betty Lennox chipped in with nine points and 10 boards.
Loree Moore finished with 10 points and was the only player in double figures for the Liberty, who have dropped four of five.
New York was outscored 24-16 in the first quarter and trailed 45-28 at the half. The team shot just 32.8 percent (21-of-64) from the floor and was just 6-of-22 (27 percent) from three-point range.
