Jun 23, 2007, 1:20 GMT
Indianapolis, IN - Asjha Jones scored the go-ahead three- point play with 27.6 seconds left and Katie Douglas posted a career-high 30 points, leading Connecticut to a 78-74 comeback win over the Indiana Fever.
Jones had 16 points, while Margo Dydek added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Sun, who snapped a five-game skid but beat the Fever for the 11th time in the last 14 meetings. Nykesha Sales and Lindsay Whalen tallied 10 points apiece in the win.
Tan White and Tamika Whitmore each scored 15 for Indiana, which has lost two of three after a four-game winning streak. Tamika Catchings had nine points, a game-high 12 rebounds and seven assists in a losing cause.
The Sun outscored the Fever, 31-21 in the final quarter.
White's three-pointer from the right corner boosted Indiana to a 74-73 edge with 31.4 seconds left.
Whalen, who had a team-high seven assists, then fed Jones coming through the lane for a bucket. Jones plowed into Catchings, who was called for the foul, and the three-point play moved the Sun into the lead.
Anna DeForge then missed a three-pointer, and Douglas nailed two foul shots with 15.4 seconds left to seal Connecticut's victory. White missed a pair of three-point shots in the waning seconds.
