Shock pound Storm

Seattle, WA - Katie Smith scored 23 points, as the Detroit Shock downed the Seattle Storm, 87-71, on Wednesday.
Deanna Nolan netted 18 points for the Shock, who improved their record to 9-1. Cheryl Ford, who missed the last two games with a sprained left knee, added 10 points and seven rebounds in the win.
Janell Burse scored 21 points for the Storm, who have lost two of three. Lauren Jackson was held to just 11 points in the loss.
Nolan's three-pointer with three minutes remaining in the third quarter gave the Shock a 20-point lead, and they never looked back en route to the rout.
