Snow helps Comets past Sparks

Houston, TX - Michelle Snow had 21 points and nine rebounds to lead the Houston Comets to their first win of the season with a 74-64 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks at Toyota Center.
Tina Thompson had 20 points and eight rebounds while Crystal Smith and Roneeka Hodges each chipped in with eight points for the Comets, who had lost their first 10 games of the season, their worst start in franchise history.
Marta Fernandez had 17 points while Christi Thomas added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Sparks, who have dropped their last three games to fall to .500 on the season.
Before the game, Los Angeles Sparks acquired guard Sherill Baker from the New York Liberty in exchange for guard Lisa Willis.
