Dec 3, 2011, 17:34 GMT
Seville, Spain - Eduardo Schwank and David Nalbandian gave Argentina new life in the Davis Cup finals as the South Americans swept the doubles rubber 6-4, 6-2, 6-3 over Spaniards Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco on Saturday.
The result in less than two hours narrowed the Spanish lead to 2-1 with reverse singles on Sunday to determine the outcome.
Spain is bidding for a fifth Davis title while Argentina has three titles.
Schwank and Nalbandian never let the Spaniards into the match on indoor clay, with early breaks in all three set. Schwank now stands 18-2 on clay in Davis play.
