Injured Djokovic downed by Nishikori, could be doubt for Paris
Nov 5, 2011, 16:25 GMT
Basle, Switzerland - World number one Novak Djoklovic could be in doubt for next week's Paris Masters after a shoulder injury contributed to his 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-0 semi-final loss on Saturday to Japan's Kei Nishikori at the Swiss Indoors.
The top seed was beaten in only his fourth match of the season, playing in pain with a shoulder injury which he re-aggravated at the start of the week and which only got worse with each match.
Djokovic, 67-4 on the season with 10 titles, is unsure if he can play Paris, which ends only a week before the start of the eight-man year-end finals in London on November 20.
Nishikori earned the biggest win of his career in two and a quarter hours with five breaks of Djokovic, who was playing this week for the first time after taking six weeks off to cure a back problem.
