Swiss semi-final as Federer faces Wawrinka

Basle, Switzerland - Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka set up an all-Swiss semi-final at their home event with straight-set dismissals of outclassed opponents on Friday.
Four-time champion and defending champion Federer, seeded third, handed longtime opponent Andy Roddick a 6-3, 6-2 defeat in their quarter-final. Wawrinka humbled German Florian Mayer 6-2, 6-2 at the Swiss Indoors.
Federer has now beaten Roddick in 21 of 23 career meetings stretching back a decade to 2001 in Basle. The pair have played four times in the Swiss player's hometown.
Federer ended the victory with two aces after 64 minutes.
