Zvonareva joins Wozniacki at WTA season-ender

Berlin - Russian tennis player Vera Zvonareva is the second player to be assured of a place in the season-ending WTA Championships, the women's tennis body announced on Friday.
Zvonareva, 26, joins Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki with enough ranking points garnered to qualify for the October 26-31 finale in Doha for the eight best players of the year.
The Russian will be playing her fourth season-ender, making the final in 2008.
Zvonareva is ranked a career-high fourth in the WTA list. She was a finalist at Wimbledon and the US Open, won the Pattaya tournament earlier in the year and reached two other finals on the tour.
