London - Venus Williams may be heading into tennis orbit after winning her fifth Wimbledon title.
'It puts you in the stratosphere, to be honest, just because of what this tournament means,' said the American who came third time lucky against her younger sister Serena in the weekend title match at the All England club.
'If I'd had this achievement at any other tournament it would have been awesome - but not nearly the same meaning at Wimbledon.
'The difference is just because of the prestige of this event.'
But if there's one thing which can bring the 28-year-old down to earth, it's the prospect of seeing her pet dog back home in Florida.
'I love that little guy, he's my favorite, my favorite dog ever,' she said of the pet who will comfort her for a few days before playing in the brief American team tennis season in a few weeks.
The elder half of the sister act has already cast aside the match faces she needed to finally beat her 26-year-old sister.
And the future looks bright for both. 'The main goal for both of us is to stay healthy. We've both worked really hard this year, and I think the results showed here, both in the singles and the doubles (which they also won).
Williams is now within theoretical striking distance of the nine Wimbledon singles titles claimed over a career by Martina Navratilova, who also watched the weekend final.
'That would be the ultimate, that's not easy,' said the winner. 'Her career also spanned like three decades, so I'm not sure if I have that much time.
'If I did, I think I would definitely dream of that.'
But with her eyes firmly on her own career, Williams added: 'Tennis is so much different now, its a big business now.
'All the tournaments, the draws, and the players, it's just so different that the pressures are different.'
