Petrova gets fifth season title in Stuttgart

Stuttgart, Germany - Nadia Petrova of Russia defeated French Tatiana Golovin, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), at the 650,000-dollar Porsche Grand Prix on Sunday to clinch a Tour-leading fifth season-title and a flashy red sports car.
The fourth-seeded Russian Petrova won four games in a row from 3-2 down to take the opening set.
She wasted a one-break lead in the second and had a scary moment at 4-4 in the tiebreak when she slipped, fell and required treatment on her right ankle, but managed to complete the final three points of the match, winning in 1 hour 47 minutes.
Petrova is the first Russian to win the tournament formerly held in Filderstadt.
Petrova, 24, got her sixth title overall and improved her finals record in 2006 to 5-0 following earlier titles in Doha, Amelia Island, Charleston and Berlin. Belgian Justine Henin-Hardenne is the only other player with five titles this year.
Petrova opted for the 355 horse-power Porsche 911 Targa G4 car instead of the 100,000-dollars cheque. Golovin, who missed her first career title again in her third appearance in a final, had to settle for 53,650 dollars.
