Jankovic jars Dementieva to reach semi-final

New York - Jelena Jankovic knocked her third consecutive Top 10 player Tuesday as she reached the semi-finals of the US Open 6-2, 6-1 over former finalist Elena Dementieva. The 21-year-old Serb was in shock after achieving the best result of her career in 62 minutes on her fourth match point. The nervous ending seemed like taking forever to conclude. At Wimbledon earlier this year, Jankovic reached her first-ever Grand Slam fourth round, upsetting holder Venus Williams along the way. The world number 20 Jankovic moved into the Dementieva clash after putting out number 10 Nicole Vaidisova and 2004 winner Svetlana Kuznetsova, ranked seventh. 'I'm so happy to be in the semi-finals,' said the winner, who profited from 39 unforced errors form Dementieva. 'I returned very well, but I didn't know what I was doing on court. I'm enjoying my tennis, I'm having fun on court. 'I'm so excited, this is an amazing feeling.'
