Manchester City's Mancini wants an end to talk about Tevez
Feb 16, 2012, 16:25 GMT
London - Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini said he wants to stop answering questions about Carlos Tevez.
But the Italian did take issue with comments attributed to Tevez in which he said Mancini had treated him 'like a dog.'
The Argentina forward returned to the club this week after three months' unauthorised leave, saying he wants to help league leaders City win the Premier League.
Mancini performed a U-turn in allowing Tevez back into the fold and said he wanted to focus on City's quest for silverware and not on Tevez.
'This is the last question I am going to answer on this subject for three months,' Mancini said as his side prepared to face Porto in the Europa League on Thursday.
'We have an important match to prepare for and an important three months.
'But I will say that I completely disagree with Carlos. I didn't treat him badly - in fact maybe I treated him too well.'
Mancini had said Tevez would never play for the club again after he allegedly refused to come off the substitutes' bench in the Champions League match away to Bayern Munich in September.
But this week Mancini said the Argentina player could yet play a part in bringing the league title to Eastlands.
