Ivory Coast to meet Zambia in Africa Cup of Nations final
Feb 8, 2012, 21:03 GMT
Libreville, Gabon - The Ivory Coast will meet Zambia in Africa Cup of Nations final after beating Mali 1-0 in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
Arsenal midfielder Gervinho scored the only goal of the match in Libreville late in the first half to give his side their fifth straight victory at the competition.
In the earlier match, Zambia stunned tournament favourites Ghana 1-0 in Bata, Equatorial Guinea, from Emmanuel Mayuka's goal.
The decider on Sunday is played in Libreville, where virtually the entire Zambian national team perished in 1993 when a plane carrying them to a World Cup match crashed into the sea 500 kilometres from the Gabonese capital.
