Man City's Mancini offers Tevez a Premier League lifeline
Feb 3, 2012, 15:26 GMT
London - Manchester City manager says Carlos Tevez could have a role to play at the club this season after all.
Mancini appeared to have washed his hands of Tevez after the forward returned to Argentina three months ago after a row with the club.
The Argentina international was expected to be sold in the January transfer window but no club came in for his signature.
But Mancini has named Tevez in his 25-man squad for the remainder of the season and says he could yet make what would be a remarkable comeback as City try to win the Premier League title.
'Carlos is not an option at the moment but it is possible in the future if he comes back,' Mancini said. 'I hope for him he has been training in the last three months to help his condition.
'There is only one thing on my mind, the Barclays Premier League. But if he comes back - and he is fit - it is possible.'
City are top of the table on goal difference from bitter rivals Manchester United with 15 games remaining.
