Rohr confident ahead of Morocco clash
Jan 25, 2012, 18:58 GMT
Libreville, Gabon - Gabon coach Gernot Rohr said on Wednesday that his side was ready to take on Morocco in their second group game at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Franco-German coach, whose side beat Niger 2-0 in their opener on Monday, face Morocco on Friday in Libreville.
The north Africans, who are one of the favourites to lift the trophy at the January 21 - February 12 tournament that is being co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, were stunned 2-1 by Tunisia in their opening game.
'The Moroccans have wonderful players in their team that play in big championships, we don't have that,' he said at the team's training.
'But we have confidence now and I think my team has a very, very big motivation to win this game even against the big players.'
He said that even though Morocco would be highly motivated for the match, the same could be said about his side.
'If we win, we will be qualified for the quarter-finals, that is a huge motivation for my players,' he said.
