Rain delays start of Africa Cup of Nations match
Jan 25, 2012, 17:05 GMT
Libreville, Gabon - The Africa Cup of Nations group A match between Libya and Zambia was delayed Wednesday after heavy rain made the pitch in Bata unplayable.
Zambia won their opening game at the January 21 - February 12 tournament and would take a giant step towards the knock-out stage with a second victory.
Torrential downpours forced match officials to delay the match, which was due to start at 1600 GMT. They gave no indication when the match would commence, but it had not yet kicked-off one hour after the scheduled start.
A second group game between co-hosts Equatorial Guinea and Senegal was scheduled for later Wednesday in the same stadium.
