Work permit denies QPR Henrique deal
Jan 24, 2012, 10:36 GMT
London - Queens Park Rangers have failed in their attempt to sign Brazilian striker Henrique after he was denied a work permit, it was confirmed on Tuesday.
The Premier League club QPR had agreed terms with Sao Paulo for Henrique, a star of the Under-20 World Cup in Colombia last year.
'He didn't get a work permit for various reasons,' a QPR spokesman said.
Among the criteria that probably counted against him were his relative lack of experience in club football and the fact that he is yet to make his debut for the Brazil national side.
