German coach Thomas Doll leaves Saudi Arabia club

Berlin - German coach Thomas Doll has left Saudi Arabian football club Al-Hilal, his assistant Thomas Finck confirmed to dpa on Monday.
Finck said that the former SV Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund coach Doll decided to quit the fourth-placed club after a defeat on Thursday against league laders Al-Ahli.
Doll, who took the job in summer, told Kicker sports magazine that he 'parted on friendly terms from the club and the team.'
He didn't attribute the decision to the defeat but also spoke of a 'new and at times difficult experience.' Kicker said it appeared that Doll had a difficult relationship with the club's sports director.
