Ronaldo and Mourinho absent from Ballon d'Or

Zurich - Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo and club coach Jose Mourinho will not be attending FIFA's Ballon d'Or gala in Zurich on Monday, football's world governing body said Thursday.
Ronaldo and Mourinho have both been nominated for world player of the year and world coach of the year awards respectively, which will be announced at the event.
A FIFA spokesman said both would be unable to attend as they are travelling to Malaga for a cup game on Tuesday.
Ronaldo is nominated along with current world player of the year Lionel Messi and Messi's Barcelona team-mate Xavi.
Mourinho is up against Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola as well Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United.
