Berlin (dpa) - Udinese, AZ Alkmaar, Club Brugge and Rubin Kazan completed the line-up in the last 32 of football's Europa League after clinching the points they needed on the last day of the group stage Thursday.
Rubin Kazan survived an early sending off to book their place in the knock-out stage with a 1-1 draw at PAOK Saloniki, sending England's Tottenham Hotspur out.
Udinese, Brugge and Alkmaar also secured 1-1 draws to make sure of their places in Friday's draw.
Udinese progressed from group I thanks to an Antonio di Natale goal just before half-time against visiting Celtic to level a 28th-minute opener from Gary Hooper.
The result left the Serie A side second behind Atletico Madrid, already assured of top spot, who ran out 3-1 winners over Stade Rennes.
Brugge and Braga finished 1-1, a result which put Brugge through at the head of group H with already-qualified Braga second, both one point ahead of English Championship side Birmingham City who defeated Maribor 1-0.
Dutch side Alkmaar clinched second spot in group G after a 1-1 draw with group winners Metalist Kharkiv, while Austria Vienna were left empty-handed despite a 2-0 home win over Malmo.
Paraguay striker Nelson Valdez got the important equalizer for Russian side Rubin Kazan at PAOK in the 48th minute after the already-qualified Greek side went in front when Vieirinha converted a 16th-minute penalty.
The spot kick came after Rubin keeper Sergei Ryzhikov brought down Giorgos Georgiadis and was shown the red card for the foul.
The point was enough to leave Rubin second in group A behind PAOK, with Tottenham's 4-0 win at Shamrock Rovers - courtesy of goals from Steven Pienaar, Andros Townsend, Jermain Defoe and Harry Kane - to no avail.
Tottenham had needed to make up five goals and hope PAOK beat Rubin Kazan to reach the knock-out stages.
'I thought when Rubin Kazan went down to 10 men that we might have a good chance and four goals would be enough,' Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp told ITV4.
Group B winners Standard Liege completed their group campaign with a 1-0 win at Copenhagen, while Bundesliga side Hanover - already qualified in second place - defeated Ukrainian outfit Vorskla Poltava 3-1.
Group C winners PSV Eindhoven downed Rapid Bucharest 2-1, while already-qualified Legia Warsaw slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The draws for the rounds of 32 and 16 will be held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.
The teams qualified from the Europa League group stage are: PAOK, Rubin Kazan Standard Liege, Hanover, PSV Eindhoven, Legia Warsaw, Sporting Lisbon,, Stoke City,, Athletic Bilbao, Metalist Kharkiv, Sporting Braga, Atletico Madrid, Schalke, Twente, Anderlecht, Lokomotiv Moscow, Lazio, Besiktas, Steaua Bucharest, Salzburg, Wisla Krakow, Udinese, AZ Alkmaar and Club Brugge.
