Chelsea say striker Torres is not for sale
Dec 15, 2011, 11:05 GMT
London - Chelsea have warned any potential suitors for their striker Fernando Torres that he is not for sale at any price.
The Spaniard has struggled since joining from Liverpool in January and has found himself third-choice behind Didier Drogba and Daniel Sturridge.
English newspapers have suggested Torres will leave in the January transfer window but manager Andre Villas-Boas said that will not happen.
'It's not true, he is not available at any price,' Villas-Boas told a press conference at Chelsea on Thursday.
'We are pretty sure when Fernando is called up he will respond with the quality and talent he has. We have to make the best decisions for the team.'
Torres joined for 50 million pounds in January but has scored just five goals in all competitions to date.
