Striker Klasnic arrested on suspicion of rape

London - Bolton Wanderers striker Ivan Klasnic was arrested on suspicion of rape earlier this week, it emerged on Thursday.
The 30-year-old was held for questioning by Greater Manchester Police before being bailed pending further inquiries.
Police were called to an apartment in the centre of Manchester early on Monday when the allegation was made.
Klasnic was not there when the complaint was made and was arrested some time later, British media reported quoting police sources.
'Police are currently investigating a report of rape in Manchester city centre,' a police statement said.
'Shortly before 5 am (0400 GMT) on Monday 25 October 2010, police were called following a report that a 17-year-old had been raped.
'A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and released on bail pending further inquiries until 1 November 2010.'
