No major surprises in Chile's pre-World Cup squad

Santiago - Chile's provisional 30-man squad for the World Cup delivered few surprises Tuesday and featured mostly the players who helped Chile qualify for the tournament.
The exception was midfielder Jaime Valdes of Italian club Atalanta, who did not play in the qualifiers but was included by Chile's Argentine-born coach Marcelo Bielsa as a candidate to play in the World Cup.
Bielsa will be required to name a 23-man squad by May 17.
Chile are scheduled to open against Honduras on June 16 in Nelspruit, South Africa. Their remaining rivals in Group H are Spain and Switzerland.

Midfielders: Marco Estrada (Universidad de Chile, Chile), Carlos Carmona (Reggina, Italy), Rodrigo Millar (Colo Colo, Chile), Jorge Valdivia (Al Ain, UAE), Matias Fernandez (Sporting Lisbon, Portugal), Jean Beausejour (America, Mexico), Pedro Morales (Dynamo Zagreb, Croatia), Jose Pedro Fuenzalida (Colo Colo, Chile), Gonzalo Fierro (Flamengo, Brazil), Charles Aranguiz (Colo Colo, Chile), Manuel Iturra (Universidad de Chile, Chile), Rodrigo Tello (Besiktas, Turkey).
