Arsenal's Van Persie expected to be out for six weeks
Nov 16, 2009, 9:53 GMT
London - Arsenal striker Robin van Persie expects to be out for up to six weeks with the ankle injury he suffered while on international duty for Holland on Saturday.
Van Persie lasted just ten minutes of Holland's friendly match with Italy because of a right ankle injury.
The 26-year-old had a scan on the injury on Sunday and told Dutch TV programme Studio Voetbal: 'I am probably out for between four and six weeks.'
Van Persie's Arsenal career has been beset by injury problems with spells out for a broken toe, a metatarsal injury and a knee problem in the past few seasons.
