Blow for Sunderland as Cattermole ruled out for three months

London - Lee Cattermole will be out for up to 12 weeks after suffering medial ligament damage in Sunderland's 1-0 defeat of Liverpool at the weekend, the Wearsiders confirmed Tuesday. 'It's not good news, but it's the best we could have hoped,' said Sunderland manager Steve Bruce. 'We were all praying he hadn't done his cruciate and damaged cartilage, which thankfully he hasn't - but he's still out for the best part of three months.' Cattermole followed Bruce from Wigan in the summer on a four-year- deal.
